Delhi is the capital city of Indian Federal Republic and is the fastest growing city of the country. The city has turned to the metropolitan and is divided into two parts New Delhi and Old Delhi. The part of Old Delhi are narrow and congested. New Delhi has been properly designed by the Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Bakers. Delhi is the place that is having the best museums, shopping arcades, boutiques etc. which offers the traditional and contemporary crafts from all over the globe.
Climate
The summer season in the capital starts from April and ends in the month of June. The average temperature of the region in the summer season is 40 degree Celsius. The season of monsoon arrives in early July and continues till September. The winters approaches in the month of November and lasts till February.
Temples in Delhi
Bahai Temple (Lotus Temple)
The temple represents the purity and the universality of god and the equality of all the religion. The temple is the must visit site for the tourist from all over the world. The temple was established in the year 1986, with the modern architecture. Person from any religion can visit the place and pray silently according to their religion. It is located at around 45 minutes from domestic airport.
Jama Majid
The biggest mosque in India has been built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in 1658. It is located near Red Fort in old Delhi and is having the seating capacity for more than 20,000. The domes, the minarets, the towers and the three gateways are the special attraction of Jama Masjid.
Birla Mandir
The temple is also known as the Lakshmi Narayan Temple and is located at the central Delhi. It was established in the year 1938 by the Indian industrialist Raja Baldev Das Birla, inaugrated by Mahatma Gandhi and was dedicated to the Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and Lord Narayana (Lord Vishnu).
Nizam-ud-din Shrine
The tomb has been dedicated to famous sufi saint Nizam-ud-din Auliya. The shrine of Nizam-ud-din includes tombs and the grave of Amir Khusro and Jahanmara.
ISKCON Temple
It has been established 1998 on the hilly place. The temple has been dedicated to the Lord Krishna and is one of the must visit site in Delhi.
Monuments and Forts of Delhi
Red Fort
The monument is having the circumference of 2.2 kilometers on the banks of Yamuna river in 17th century. The monument was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in 17th century. The special attraction of the Red Fort is the Light and Sound show in every evening.
Purana Quila
The Mughal emperor Humayun has established the Purana Quila in the year 1538. The regular timings to visit the temple is from 6 am to 6 pm and the ticket are available at the Delhi Tourism office.
Qutub Minar
The highest stone tower of India is Qutub Minar by Qutubddin Aibak the viceroy of Mummad Ghori in the 1192. The tower has been located at the Delhi- Gurgaon road in Mehrauli and the regular timings to visit the Qutub Minar is 6 am to 6 pm.
India Gate
The monument is built in the memory of the 90,000 soldiers who died in the World War I in 1931 and it was designed by the n Lutyens.

Air:
Delhi is having the dense network of national and International flights. The major airlines that connects Delhi is easily accessible from every part of the world.
Train:
The Delhi is connected to every part of the country through the Indian Railways. There are majorly three railway heads in Delhi and they are Old Delhi, New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin.
Bus:
Delhi is also well connected through the bus services to almost all the major destinations to North India. The Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) is situated at Kashmiri Gate, Sarai Kale Khan and Anand Vihar.
